More Ship Previews For Dropfleet Commander’s New Edition
July 23, 2024 by brennon
TTCombat has been previewing more miniatures that will be coming to the new edition of Dropfleet Commander later this year. We got another look at one of the Bioficer ships plus one from the Shaltari forces moving into position above the planet.
Scythe Cluster // Dropfleet Commander
The first of the miniatures is for the Scythe Cluster, another new ship for use with the Bioficers of Dropfleet Commander. This is another ship for the newest faction for the Dropfleet/Dropzone Commander world and gives you another look at the style of armaments that they are going to be bringing to your orbital battles.
Scythe Cluster // Dropfleet Commander
It's a neat little twist on the existing miniature we saw with the Cutter. The design is very much "floating guns" which seems like an ideal match to the Bioficers. They feel like a no-nonsense faction so making their ships into something that means business with no frills makes sense.
New Shaltari Ship
As well as the new ship for the Bioficers, we also got another for the Shaltari.
Strontium Monitor // Dropfleet Commander
We got to get a peek at the Strontium Monitor which is another bit of Shaltari innovation. This will also be available later this year and I would guess that we're going to be seeing small bonus releases for all of the factions in Dropfleet Commander.

Let us know if you're eager to learn more about Dropfleet Commander. TTCombat are putting out little bits of information here and there currently but I feel like a much bigger dive into the game is on the horizon.
Could you perhaps be tempted back to Dropfleet Commander with the new factions?

Some really nice new additions to the range. Certainly, keeping my eye on the new edition
Those Bioficers might get me to give Dropfleet a try, finally. Really digging their ship designs thus far.
It is worth noting that the existing monitors (and most of the previously released classes) are moving from resin to plastics, so it seems that Dave is working on adding options and new variants in the process.
Is that confirmed or rather where did TTC say this? That would be good news as some of the resin ships I have gotten over the last few years have been pretty rough.
More plastics are more good! Though I’m surprised they went monitors instead of something like battleships or battlecruisers. I guess more options for the monitor hull are easier to make.
