Shieldwolf Miniatures’ Fantasy Armies Dominate Kickstarter
February 11, 2015 by brennon
Shieldwolf Miniatures launched their Kickstarter yesterday and it's already burst through it's original target and is now plowing ahead towards stretch goals showing off a whole range of different fantasy armies well worth looking into...
The first of these armies that we've seen have been the Talliareum Ogres (that have since been unlocked) with some really cool sculpts that would make them great for enemies in a role-playing/dungeon crawl style setting or as alternative for Warhammer Fantasy, for example.
As well as the painted miniatures for the Ogres they also showed off some of their extra unlocks that look great. The Arcane Sorcerer and Ice Maiden Druid are once again perfect for use as role-playing characters while the Warrior Priest and General kit would be perfect to use as someone like Luthor Huss in an Empire army. I like that they went with the Celtic theme instead of the Christian one when it came to the iconography too.
The Valley Orcs have also popped up as an army once more and they have a couple of leaders to choose from. Some BIG monsters are also planned on the horizon including the likes of the War Mammoth and the Two Headed Dragon, which I'm looking forward to the most. It will be interesting to see what other big models they have planned and if it's all going to work out!
Have you been spending your coins wisely on the Shieldwolf Kickstarter?

Some of these models are looking rather sweet imho. My favorites are the Warrior Priest and General on horseback. Great value for those too! The ogres look a lot fresher designed like those pictured. I think I maybe getting twitchy finger again, hehe.
There are some great looking models among those.
I really like the ogres and the druid.
The miniatures they have already made look good to me and they seam to have a plan for there Kickstarter which really does make a nice change. Some of the initial bigger figures already appear to have some sculpts. So all seams good to me i just hope they can keep it up as i want my Shield Maidens.
Keeping an eye on those Mammoths…
i like the miniatures, but the Conan kickstarter literally ended less than 24 hours ago and in a month when this one is ending im going to have to add in all the stretch goals i couldn’t afford to pledge for on that. what i don’t like about this one is the gold coin system why not just dollars, it almost looks to me like they are trying to hide the costs. for example that great war mammoth is 20gold and 1gold = $3usd so $60usd, regular sized models are about $9usd so it doesnt even seem like much of… Read more »
