Shieldwolf Charge to the Hills in a Mountain Orc Chariot
April 25, 2014 by dracs
Shieldwolf Miniatures are currently working on a new release for May that they are calling the "Charging Forest", part of which looks to include a new orc chariot to bring your greenskins charging down from the mountains.
The chariot certainly looks detailed, with the grain of the wood clearly picked out, along with the various adornments that the orcs have decorated it with.
Shieldwolf have described it as an addition to "the most brutal and detailed Orc army miniatures worldwide" (Shieldwolf Miniatures Facebook) and it is hard to fault them on this assessment. It will be interesting to see how this chariot looks when finished.
Have you seen Shieldwolf's orc range? What do you think o their take on the greenskins?
I bought some of their Orcs at Salute, they look great when painted up and I don’t think the photos on their website do them any justice at all.
I like them alot. Really angry and brutal orcs.
At the risk of being pedantic, surely they’re only “greenskins” if they are Warhammer orcs? Oh how I long for the days before orcs where green.
Oh wait, I’ve just checked. These are your typical Warhammer ripoff green orcs with massive heads. This is why I don’t play fantasy anymore.
Due to your “recommendation” I think I’ll pick up a box or two.
Well I’m sure you’ll love them if they’re what you like.
Will these have boars, wolves or something else? Maybe Wargs? If this picture here is anything like the final product, then they are right to boast, if not, it could blast right into their faces. I also wonder how much it will cost, anything more than 30 quid is too much imo…
The picture above IS part of the final product. People who have bought from us can testify of the superb quality of our casts. We believe it’s the best publicity we could ever have.
The Chariot above was assembled to test how hard it would be to put together, and although rather easy for advanced hobbyists, we have decided to add an assembly guide for inexperienced users.
Also, to answer your questions, one version will have Boars and another will have Great Wolves. The price will also leave you pleasantly surprised since according to our Policy we aim for mass production.
Thank you.
