Don’t Set Sail Without LITKO’s Naval Accessories
April 18, 2014 by dracs
One of the games that caught our eye at Salute this year was Sails of Glory, the naval counterpart to the aerial game Wings of Glory. LITKO have just put out a preview of an upcoming selection of naval accessories to help in your battles for the high seas.
LITKO provide a fairly high quality range of accessories and the addition of these pieces should help you to keep track of developments in naval games such as Sails of Glory. Most of the things previewed here are pretty standard, but I do like the compass, which does match with the style of Napoleonic era sailing.
Have you ever bought anything from LITKO?
Sails of Glory is a great box set, I must admit I use the models for playing Trafalgar as well.
Any ideas who stocks the full range of Litko in the UK ?
Figures in comfort stock all the plastic markers etc though not the bases

Thanks @torros thats a great help mate, I must have missed them at Salute.
Sails of Glory is a great game to get into Naval Wargaming in the age of sail…but if you do get into it beware the cost of the ships… There are cheaper alternatives.
Just looked at the prices!…cheaper to go to Langton or GHQ
Yep and Langton’s are far superior in quality.
Yeah, but you still need the ship cards for the firing arcs, maneuver decks (there will be more varieties in the next release cycle) and damage tracker. It’s not like the model is the only thing you need to play. Plus, the time it takes to assemble and paint a Langton isn’t free, even if you enjoy it (which I would, but I still don’t have the time). All in all, I’d say the SoG ships are a pretty good deal when you consider the real cost of the alternatives. When you compare them to other prepaints like the X-Wing… Read more »
I can definitely see myself picking up some range rulers, but aside from that I think the game’s in-box accessories work just fine. It’s good to have options for replacements though if I ever need them.
What SoG really needs is a tablet app for ship tracking. The components in the box are great and well though-out, but there’s just enough to keep track of that a digital tool would be really nice to have.
