Send In The Elite Troops For Fallen Frontiers Sayx Faction
April 8, 2015 by brennon
Some more troopers have been spotted for Fallen Frontiers and the Sayx Faction over on their Kickstarter page in a New Update. The elite troopers of the Sayx are ready for a fight...
As you can see they are a pretty heavily armoured unit and come with longer range weapons compared to the standard troops. The amount of training they undergo as a unit means that they have almost as good an aim as the genetically engineered Ares soldiers.
Above is a bite of a close up of the two different types of troopers from the set above including both Male and Female soldiers. I think the Female 'Boob Armour' is a little bit over the top when it comes to the size but other than that I think they're both pretty epic models.
Hopefully we'll see these 'in the flesh' soon along with a range of other cool models from this successful Kickstarter.
What do you think of the Sayx?

There are so many good sci-fi models coming out from upstart companies these days! So glad I’m getting back into it. Love the look of these figures, though the helmet shape looks a bit too “equestrian” for me, and I agree, that on the female models they could tune down the ball turrets… or do you need them that big to tell the women from the men in 28mm scale? Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
I will say, while I have no idea on how difficult it is to sculpt armoured figures and still be able to differentiate gender without the need for boob armour or derpy poses, at least they have refrained from giving the female soldiers combat high heels.
But overall, rather happy I will be getting these guys in my copy (I went for Riff v Sayx boxed set with Ares add on force).
totally agree, I hate it when female minis have those stupid high heels 😛
… how the hell can anyone run and fight in 9 inch stiletto heels 😛 ha ha ha
it just looks sooo dumb 😛
… on the subject of boob armour,
it probably looks less big when they shrink down to and inch tall mini 😛
… 2 mm maximum I would imagine 😛
Looks like she’s wearing 3 helmets!
Great quality renders though, still managing to get plenty of dynamism into the standard ‘stand and shoot’ pose.
Those are looking really nice.
