Secret Weapon’s Tablescapes Release Date Announced!
October 30, 2014 by dracs
Secret Weapon Miniatures' long awaited Tablescape terrain range is gearing up for release as the date of 3rd November is set for their grand appearance.
The Monday launch will see the release of five 4 x 6 table options: Forgotten City, Rolling Fields, Scrap Yard, and Clean and Damaged Urban Streets.
These Tablescape tiles provide the perfect way to create an attractive game setting. The tiles all feature good attention to detail, as can be shown in the above image of the Urban Streets tiles, and can be taken apart and combined in new ways when you wish to change your table set-up. We are definitely looking forward to getting a proper look at these.
Have you been waiting for Secret Weapon to launch these?
Nicely detailed and versatile looking tiles.
Their website’s got the Forgotten City showing at $250 (~£160)… not bad (compared to another table tile system I can think of) -.especially with free shipping internationally for orders over $200!
I have been waiting for the regular release for this for a long time. Looks really good and seems like great quality too.
Drooooooooooooooool… must have!!!
Check out games & gears boards too. They will be out by the start of next year and are cheaper. They are 24″x24″ and can cope with overhangs allowing you to play on tables that are not normally wide enough for war games.
Also I am not a fan of 8″ roads on the secret weapon boards. The set is over 40% road and that seems a little off balance to me and hard to put terrain on.
The Tablescapes Tiles can cope with overhangs of as much as 6″ on either side of the table — allowing you to play a 4×6′ game on a 3′ wide dining table — but I wouldn’t recommend it. The size of the tile won’t make as much of a difference as the quality of the clips holding them together. The Urban tile sets are weighted to foundation tiles, which don’t include any roads. The size of the road is a direct reflection of the models that most people will be running on them, as demonstrated in this image: http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/images/Roads.gif Two… Read more »
Hope they will be available in Europe too
I have already got and painted up a 2ft square Deadzone board. Very good quality.
Thanks – and I hope you’ve posted pics in the unboxing thread 😉
