Secret Weapon are on Kickstarter right now looking to fund their project to bring you sets of HD Bases which come pre-coloured and ready-to-use right out of the packet. There are quite a few designs and they might be good for those looking to make some stylish armies!

HD Bases Main - Secret Weapon

The premise of the new HD Bases is that the designs have been pre-printed directly onto the plastic which allows them to show off incredible full-colour and textured bases which you simply glue your models onto. The team us a UV printing process which uses standard black bases to begin with but then applies the beautiful finished project over the top.

Base Technique - Secret Weapon

As you can hopefully see in the image above, there is a little bit of height and relief to the bases meaning that they don't appear as stickers but instead fully painted bases which frame the model beautifully. The collection currently introduces a range of base styles which would be a good fit for both Sci-Fi and Fantasy gaming.

Unlocked So Far - Secret Weapon

I think this is a really neat idea and certainly proves how far 3D printing has come on in recent years. I really would like to get a few of these in my hands to see how they look and feel in reality but you can't deny how cool they look at the very least! Here are a few more of their designs, looking at the wider range of bases sizes available.

Dark Circuit Theme - Secret Weapon

Fractal Black Theme - Secret Weapon

Mosaic Burst Theme - Secret Weapon

I think these would be absolutely perfect for people trying to make really interesting looking skirmish warbands and gangs. I could see these rocking for the likes of Infinity, really helping to add to those cinematic miniatures that Corvus Belli produce.

More designs are on the way and you can check out the Kickstarter in more detail for a range of bases options and what's coming next.

What do you think of their idea?
