The Scots Are Taking The High Road From Footsore Miniatures
August 11, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Footsore Miniatures has created some WWI troops for the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) and in true Scottish fashion they are taking the fight to the enemy in their traditional military uniform of kilts, sporran and Glengarry, sporting the traditional tartan.
There is also officers modeled with Webley revolvers and troops with Lee Enfield SMLE Mk IIIs (Which I own one, lovely rifle, I digress). These miniatures are in 28mm and would make a lovely addition to anyone's WWI collection.
I am wondering if they could be used in WWII game such as Bolt Action or Chain of Command. You have to admire any guy willing to run around a battleground with that choice of clothing, do they not realize where dirt, sand and mud can get to?
What do you think of these?

Those are kinda okay.
As far as I can remember, these were part of the Musketeer Miniatures range and have been available for ages. Nice models. Footsore have a great WWI, Irish War of Independence and Inter War period range. Great for what if gaming, resistance fighters etc. No idea how well they scale with Great War Miniatures who have an extensive WWI range of British (I think scuplted by Aly Morrison of GW fame).
They are lovely figs as I have them for Very British Civil War. They are sculpted by Paul Hicks and are very detailed. As for WW2 the equipment and uniform is all wrong, they are 08 pattern webbing and service dress as opposed to battledress. Could be used for very early war at a push I guess
