Scibor’s Latest 54mm Sculpt Joins the Hunt for Vampires
February 11, 2015 by dracs
A new 54mm scale mini is gracing the Scibor webstore, a grizzled Vampire Hunter who specialises in making the blood sucking undead stay dead.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer this guy ain't. He's far more the grizzled, trenchcoat clad adventurer type you might find turn up in a Mike Mignola comic book.
Of particular note with this sculpt are the various pouches and bandoleers he's wearing, nice touches of detail that help establish him as prepared for anything the undead can bring. Though I will say, I think the choice of basing is a little odd. Not the environment I would have pictured him in.
Think you might bring Scibor's Vampire Hunter to your painting table to clear out the undead?

He looks like he has hunted lot of vampires during his life. He is veteran vampire hunter.
sabertooth?
Great model and a really nice sculpt! The base would certainly have to go though imho. It looks like a base you would use for a nimble wood elf. Its just completely random at best, a bricked bridge or dark alleyway would be better suited tbh. Still a great model though. 🙂
Foot on random…head?
Wait what! lol
Totally agree, I would use the base for something else
I think the problem is the whole sculpt is too statically based around a central axis and the base would really benefit from an asymmetrical model on top.
Base and figure are both great
Just not together like that imho
@Chibi I totally agree wkth you agreeing with me. 🙂 I also beieve it would look just as nice if the base was placed balancing on top of his gun. Hehe
I wonder if they drew inspiration from a physio wobble board? 😀 what has been seen cannt be unseen! ><
