Scibor Light the Fuse for a new Ogre Gunner
December 30, 2014 by dracs
Scibor Monstrous have another new Ogre in their webstore and he's ready to lend a light to the tabletop proceedings. Meet their second Ogre Gunner.
This Ogre Gunner has been sculpted in a very action oriented pose, running ahead with a flaming brand and ready to bring that canon under his arm round on anyone who gets in his way.
I rather like this one, especially with the addition of flames which allow for interesting painting opportunities. The only problem I can see is that, while the pose does add a nice cinematic style, it looks a little over the top, leaving me with the impression that he might fall flat on his face.
Does Scibor's Ogre Gunner light your fuse?

I don’t get the impression that he has a firm grip on that cannon. Still, a nice sculpt, better imo than the GW equivalent.
It doesn’t help that there’s a big shell in front of his foot, which contributes to the ‘about to trip over’ look.
But overall it’s a nice model, and good to see some different poses to normal.
Love this. I like the object sorced lighting thing on the paint job too. Scibor do seem to make awesome minis. One thing I like with their minis is they come with great bases that really suit the model.
So very good ! 🙂
not a bad model. But seen way better from Scibor 🙂
tut tut Scibor this looks a lot like the Ogre mercenaries from Warmachine.
