Sci-Fi Horrors Join Lazy Squire & MiniWarGaming’s Ravaged Star
January 24, 2022 by brennon
MiniWarGaming and Lazy Squire Games' new Ravaged Star Gamefound project is firing up tomorrow. Ahead of that, we got another preview of some awesome new miniatures, monstrous ones infact, that are going to be available to choose from when it launches.
Horrors Of The Veil // Ravaged Star
The Horrors Of The Veil is the newest selection of mutants, fiends, horrors and more that you can pick from to drop into your alternative and decidedly grim armies of the far future. You get three powerful and terrifying character figures in the set alongside the Wretched Sorrow and Wretched Spite which could be used as the most gifted of your warriors from beyond the veil.
As has been the case with all of these miniatures, they are packed with detail. We've been seeing a few painted versions of these miniatures popping up online over the last few weeks and they seem to take well to washes, blending and plenty of decent drybrushing to catch all those spikey bits!
Another of the more terrifying miniatures is for the Asalian Devourer which comes in its own Elite Pack.

This twisted horror is probably just as able to rip and tear with its flailing tendrils as it is with its claws. I would guess that there is a deep heat within its core too that could be used to turn more of its enemies into twisted slag and melting bone.
The team at Lazy Squire Games and MiniWarGaming have really gone to town on Ravaged Star. It obviously has a place as an alternative army of heretics in the world of Warhammer 40,000 but I am also intrigued to see what their own game is like too.
Are you tempted to back this when it launches tomorrow?

Those are impressive, most impressive.
Ooh Wow I can see Constantine/Hellboy battling these demons
Miniwargaming is really really going all out on this one.
They are looking to produce a lot of miniatures, like truly alot of variety. Im actually concerned they are looking to produce to many for their first crowdfund attempt. We shall see.
I will back for some, perhaps a full set even.
Lol, DakkaDakka is so hilarious.
Gamesworkshop fans never fail to always compare the quality of all miniatures to GW miniatures, usually saying those famous words “not as good/detailed as GW”.
So what is one of the complaints about these miniatures on DakkaDakka, that they are too “busy” to “detailed”. Another is they are too choas. Lol.
Just funny stuff.
