Scale75 Look To Bring Biker Chick To Life With IndieGoGo
February 3, 2014 by brennon
Scale75 do some neat looking miniatures for display and they have come to IndieGoGo to help fund the latest of their projects, the biker chick with the steampunk edge, Sarah Kilmister...
She's very much the pin-up model and I'm sure folks have plenty to say about this, or maybe not, the discussions has been had a fair few times already. Either way these guys know exactly what they're doing with larger scale models and have excellent illustrators and sculptors working behind the scenes.
These 75mm ladies would be quite the challenge for a painter and if you could get it right, it would be right up there on the gaming shelf as quite the achievement. I think Scale75 have produced some great stuff here and they are closing in on their quite modest goal, so we'll most likely see Kilmister become a reality.
What do you think?

Lemmy would be proud…
Hmm. Nice… bike?
Gorgeous, big round tires.
More seriously though, it looks to me like some of those previous sculpts are somewhat mediocre pieces benefiting from terrific paint jobs, but the Kitty Reimar model has one of the best executed faces that I’ve ever seen on a miniature.
Face? Ooooo face…
Hey, great rack too.
Actually, having seen some of the Scale75 pieces “in teh flesh”, I think some of those paint-jobs don’t do them enough justice… The sculpts are reaaaally good. At that scale, it’s easier to impress. However, I haven’t seen these specific miniatures, so I really couldn’t tell. They look worth getting, though !
Hey, if you’re looking for a new tutorial subject…
I think I maybe see some of what you’re saying. The blend work on those models still looks really smooth to me, but that might just be a combination of the larger scale and studio lighting. Either way, it would be great to see some videos from you about painting semi-realistic features on bigger, more ornamental figures.
Those are some great looking sculpts. And that concept art does look promising.
Very lovely minis. But at that scale you really need to be a very good painter or your inadequacy will tell.
