Sandoval Kain Hunts for Witches at HiTech Miniatures
December 2, 2014 by dracs
HiTech Miniatures have decided to do something about all those witches in the far future and have sent out Sandoval Kain to bring them to justice by blade and gun, and he has plenty of both.
For this HiTech have gone with the puritan witch hunter look made iconic by the character Solomon Kane, but armed with a practical armoury of weapons with which to take down the witches.
The model itself is rather imposing. The pose is a little dull, but there is something undeniably intimidating about him staring out from under the brim of his hat. This could definitely serve well as part of an Inquisitor's retinue, if not as the Inquisitor himself.
Will you hire the services of Sandoval Kain to deal with the witches you face?
This is actually rather nice.
I love the look of this…he does have an imposing stare. Love the Solomon Kane series – Robert E Howard is one of my favorite authors. My husband and I were just talking about a Solomon Kane RPG we were wondering if one was out there. This mini would work well if we created our own. Thank you for sharing!
I think he’s great (a perfect Inquisitor) and I agree, the original Kane stories are, on balance, better than a lot of the Conan stories IMHO. I’d love Fantasy Flight or someone to do a mini board game set in Africa or something.
This is one of the first models from them that I like. No offence to them intended, but I knew they had it in them to make nice models beyond the tubed, robed, robo clerics. Nice job mates.
