Salute Is Getting Its Own Special Edition Miniature From Prodos
April 14, 2017 by stvitusdancern
At Adepticon this year Prodos brought with them a special edition miniature, the Alien on top of an Adepticon style skull.
Now Salute is getting their own special show exclusive miniature.
This time it will be a Predator in a British 1700's uniform with a pistol. I think it is a pretty awesome looking miniature. They will also have all kinds of AVP and Warzone Resurrection goodies there as well. Man, I am going to miss Salute this year!
What do you think of this miniature?

This I didn’t think would work, but oddly does.

That comment was brought to you by a four-month old who is scarily proficient with a laptop…
😀 . Getting them ready for life on BoW early @redben .
I don’t own or play AvP, but that is a nice mini and would make a lovely display piece.
I can’t help but wonder, what’s with the fishnet body stocking?
Not familiar with military life?
/sarcasm people-I kid, I KID!
I may be wrong, but, fluffwise, i think it is part of their camouflage system ?
Is it free then?
Are they taking the piss.
Backers are still waiting.
Yep, they are taking it to a new level.
BoW really need to grill them at Salute whilst the queue is waiting for their pledges
That’s something I’d be in favor of.
I’m honestly not sure that they shouldn’t be doing some of the things they’re doing with AVP, but they should definitely answer some questions about it.
Never going to happen as BoW aren’t neutral or unbiased anymore.
( I really love BoW. But seriously. When was the last time they spoke out against anything that could upset their chances of exclusives..? When was the last time they took a manufacturer or took them to task with the risk of offending them..? )
Bugger. No edit button.
I’m pretty sure they refused to give Prodos any coverage of LOAD due to the fulfilment disaster with AvP and the shenanigans over whose game it was.
And yet they still promote AvP and Warzone.
Because they successfully delivered on LOAD. Your point was that they have never tried to hold a manufacturer accountable, but they did do that with Prodos. They made Prodos prove they could fulfill a KS before they would start promoting their products again.
I take issue with the term “promote” as I view this article as a news article and not promotion. Does it provide promotion to Prodos and AvP? Sure but the intent is to provide information about what a company is doing. I doubt very much they are providing BoW any funds for posting this article.
How did they make Prodos prove anything…?
They may have held off shouting out about LOAD but that proved nothing. Not saying anything at all is far, far different to calling somebody out.
Also. I wasn’t necessarily talking about this thread. They still do unboxings and tactics vids and what is that if not product promotion..?
Also. Even if Prodos have managed to fulfill the LOAD KS. Prodos still haven’t fulfilled AvP and have in fact lied through their teeth about it and their behaviour to people on social media and forums has been disgusting and reprehensible.
As an “angry backer” I am now more than content to let BoW promote Prodos as long as any fair criticism is allowed in the comments. It is, so all is good. Tasker, after all it isn’t in our interests to see Prodos fold when we are owed so much money. The lesser of two evils indeed.
Again I say that not mentioning something isn’t the same as calling them out. Not mentioning something isn’t really going to jeopardise anything even remotely to the same extent as actively speaking out. As i have said before. I love BoW as an entity and I love the guys that work there. The make me laugh and I really want to buy them a pint if I ever meet them. I understand their situation but I have no illusions about where they’ll stand in a given situation To be honest I’ve pretty much given up on ever seeing the few… Read more »
I hear you.
You’ve conflated two different things. One is BoW’s willingness or otherwise to jeapordise their access to exclusive content by holding companies accountable, and the other is holding companies accountable in a specific way. A way which for someone waiting on their pledge might be satisfying, but is likely to be counterproductive. BoW didn’t jeopardise their access to exclusive LOAD content, they actively refused to take it because of the issues with AvP. Had LOAD had fulfilment issues, they would have continued to refuse content from Prodos. As Prodos have successfully fulfilled KS based on their own IP, BoW are satisfied… Read more »
I want!
nice.
Hopefully us AvP backers are reaching the end of the road now – clear predators are supposedly coming in from China end of May. Latest Prodos update gave an e-mail where you can exchange the stuff they haven’t bothered making yet (alternate marines, resin terrain, clear preds) for stuff they have : [email protected]
Alternate marines and resin terrain are looking a little doubtful to me – Prodos seem to be pretty busy with Warzone, and I’d have thought 2nd Ed AvP expansions and Space Crusade are priorities for them over AvP backers who they know hate their guts already.
Prodos are a joke I am still waiting for bits from my kickstarter unlike some people I have had some of it but the ultimate kick in the nuts is that even before I have removed the shrink wrap from my game they have now produced a new game with new models and new rules so my rules are out of date before I even get to play I am sorry beasts of war I think you have a great site here but this company has ripped a lot of good gamer’s off and don/t even seem sorry about it
