The First Salamander Mechs For Rangers Project Shown!
August 21, 2014 by brennon
Rangers Project have shown off some of the first 15mm scale Salamander Mechs in all their glory. See what you think of this brilliant looking walker that will no doubt find its way onto many a tabletop...
This is quite the awesome creation and I love the mix of design choices from anime, Metal Gear Solid and of course more western designs too. The actual Kickstarter went very well indeed and it's great to see these miniatures making their way out onto the tabletop now.
Here's one that has been assembled and painted already showing off what it will look like when coloured and of course how it can be posed differently too. I can't wait to see a few more of these!
Did you pledge for this campaign?
Wow…that’s pretty awesome, I say! Can’t use it in any game I play so I won’t buy it, but it sure looks great.
Looks odd to me. Strikes me that if you use it anywhere but on concrete it would sink to its ankles, or knees, due to the tiny feet. The thighs look out of proportion for no good reason, and it looks like you could easily shoot your wrist off with the forearm-mounted gun. Could just be the angle.
I think that is the Metal Gear influences comning through, definitely the small feet and big thighs could have been lifted straight from Metal Gear Ray.
Ah, makes sense. But I still can’t help but see it in some stretchy fortrel pants.
So disappointed I had to drop out of the kickstarter for that one, it really is looking great!
Man I love his skinny and long hand !
This guy can take on any itch anywhere !
I am with cpauls1 on this; those legs and feet are all kinds of wrong.
This is the mech I am looking forward to:
