Saint Decent Crafts More Twisted Turnip28 Miniatures!
December 14, 2021 by brennon
Turnip28 has been one of those games that ended up grabbing a lot of peoples attention. Max FitzGerald has been working on it solo for a while now over on Patreon with Rules available to download (thanks to Patreon backers) and plenty of 3D Printing elements too. Saint Decent (who we talked about in Indie Of The Week) has also been getting involved!

This collection has been shown off over on their Instagram as well as over on Twitter and, as you might imagine, has gone down quite well. I absolutely love the weird and wonderful look of these Turnip28 miniatures, giving us a twisted take on a blackpowder period.
One of the nice things about the range is that there is always something to draw the eye even with these individual soldiers. You can always spot a random carrot poking out of somewhere or a crooked and weird helm.

Things have been growing and changing with this range quite nicely and I like that there is a good mix of both traditional soldiers and those just drawn into this vegetable-based conflict.

You could have a lot of fun painting up these miniatures. I'm imagining a lot of dirt and grime in the mix alongside the occasional flash of pale colour from their saturated uniforms and the odd vegetable.
A great range of miniatures from a hobby where we have a lot of big bulky Space Knights and bellowing Orcs. It should, undoubtedly, be a fun game and collection to dive into for those who like their kitbashing and converting.

The miniatures are going to be available from Max FitzGerald in the near future. The exact method for that is yet to be decided but I imagine we might see them available in an STL format alongside potentially a way to get them printed.
I would recommend heading over to check out Saint Decent on Instagram and Twitter where more of these teasers will pop up. Make sure to also dive into Max FitzGerald's Patreon to help fund the project and explore the Gardens Of Hecate website for more fascinating projects.
What do you make of these twisted Turnip28 miniatures?

There have been a lot of really weird minis on this site lately. MASSIVE THUMBS UP MOAR PLS
Would these fit into Silver Bayonet?
Yup for sure – you could use them as twisted soldiers who have been dragged out of the mud and reanimated by some witch perhaps?
No Ben, the correct answer would have been: “Of course you can’t! You need more minis!” …. how can I resist buying stuff if you keep tempting me…
You must be new here ?
well yes but no… but of often… what’s the word for not remembering? doh…. 😉
I have no idea. I keep thinking words then buy more minis and away they go again.
Buy more minis… sounds ok… could catch on that…
I think they will be great for chaos troopers?
Napoleons revenge?
The Mouldy Old Guard
I love that quirky look. I’m thinking of incorporating these into Wars of Ozz as the scarecrows regiment
These would be really good for alternate Hollowmen in Hordes
