Russian Alternative’s Orc Standard Bearer is Furiouz!

The Russian Alternative have released their latest fantasy figure, the long awaited Furiouz Orc Standard Bearer.
This rather peeved orc can be assembled in two ways, either as a standard bearer for your primal army of greenskin, or brandishing a large, two handed axe.
The standard bearer looks suitably impressive and would work well as the carrier of the army's battle standard, however I am less sure about the axe wielding variant. The model is still good, but why in the world would he be carrying his axe like that?
Will The Russian Alternative's orc carry your colours?
I’m wondering if the axe head can be rotated. It might look less awkward if you can point the blade edge forward. And guessing that only the piece above the hand is the interchangable part I think that is the case.
Nice standard bearer.
I had commented on this when it had first come out as a green. Imo they obviously tried to make a dual kit for what could be a WHFB Boss with Great Weapon and a BSB. I fail to see how this could ever compete with the GW or Shieldwolf orcs. They should have stuck to one of the 2 concepts, what they brought out instead is a (far) less dynamic but way more expensive alternative. I like this company and alternative miniatures, but other than the awesome painting this is a complete failure in my book…
Just another cartoony orc. Is there no getting away from this stereotype?
“Look, everyone! Momma bought me an axe for me birthday!”
*Hmm … should have spent the money on a dentist appointment …
Ah, poor orcs. They never get respect. On the other hand, that standard bearer is indeed awesome. You can almost hear those skulls and bones clattering around in the battlefield wind.
