Run Last Click! Android: Netrunner Revised Core Set Now Available
December 15, 2017 by brennon
Android: Netunner and its Revised Core Set is now available for you to snap up from Fantasy Flight Games. Containing a new set of refined cards (from the core set and first few cycles), some featuring redesigned artwork, it is your new jack-in point to a world of digital espionage, hacking and shadowy corporations.
Time has moved on within the world of Android Netrunner. Some Runners are dead, some Corporations have redefined their intentions and ambitious but there is one constant, the asymmetrical fight between the Runner and the Corporation in a struggle for the truth...and maybe a bit of stolen money along the way (looking at you Gabe!)
It's great to see them pushing forward the narrative, ageing some of the characters, and of course draining the swamp of some of those cards that were ruining the meta in favour of a fresh new take on the game.
Android: Netrunner is genuinely one of the only card games (apart from maybe Lord of the Rings: LCG) which felt like it dropped me into that world where you could assume the identities of the characters and corporations you were playing. The tense back and forth nature of the gameplay where you're making daring runs or trying to enact brutal plans is inspired.
If you didn't try Netrunner before I would encourage you to give it a go. I've played with the new 'pool' of Starter Cards and they are very good, guiding the game back to is roots and what made it so good.
Will you be giving this a go?
