Rubicon Preview Prototypes For M10/M36 Project
June 20, 2015 by brennon
Rubicon Models have shown off some of the prototype work going into their new M10/M36 Kits that will be available soon. See what you think of the different alternatives below for building your tank destroyers...
Armour Piercing
You can see some of the various ways in which they can be assembled below into a selection of different classes of vehicle. While it might not look like there is a lot of difference there are very subtle differences on the models. I'm sure a tank buff could also tell you why some of them were better than others.
If World of Tanks has taught me anything it's that you need to bring some Tank Destroyers with you when you go into the fighting against enemy armour. They have some great front armour and can make even the biggest tanks run away scared.
Components
On the component front they also broke down some of the options for us below showing off what the individual parts looked like for customising your vehicle.
The team are reportedly quite happy with the initial results you see above and will now be working on making these models into proper kits that you can build at home.
Will you be wanting these for your army?

Nice. I am sure they will get John’s seal of approval.
well i sent him a Rubicon Sherman for Xmas as a thankyou…and seems pleased with it and when i was at the BA boot camp he like alot of other Rubicon stuff for the Germans too.
needless to say i shall be keeping an eye out for these
Sooo shiny!
looks like a nice range of tank killers.
Yeah looking forward to them. WWII 28mm is taking off. Hope we see more tanks in our scale, there are still lots of tanks, tank hunters and so on to cover.
would love to see some unboxings of Rubicons stuff, see how it shapes up to Warlord/Italeri…
I have a number of plastic tanks from both companies and it’s hard to compare. They are both getting better and better with each new release.
I collect both and so far Rubicon wins in respect of their Pz IV, Panther, Tiger and T-34/76 imo. The StuG is great too but so is Warlord’s. The Sherman is an M4A3 while the Warlord one is an unspecified earlier version, both are nice. Same with the Hanomag. Rubicon’s is a masterpiece! Although there are slight inaccuracies (counts for both companies) they are generally really great models and worth having. I’m just delighted to have this many 1:56 plastic kits. Check out their forums for what else is in store. I can’t wait for the Opel Blitz 🙂 And… Read more »
I have Warlord/Italaeri and Rubicon vehicles. The Rubicon versions tend to have better track and running gear details. My only grouse with the tanks is that the method they chose for attaching the main gun and mantlet to the turret is fiddley and awkward, especially on the Panzer IV. The Warlord Puma is a gorgeous kit, let down in 1 respect: why were there no fillers for the other 8 roadwheels? They went to all thet trouble with the steering, transmission and suspension but the 8 roadwheels are hollow shells. It’s a bit illogical and annoying really. I like that… Read more »
