Ride The Dropzone Commander Monorail With TTCombat
April 14, 2023 by brennon
Fancy hopping on the monorail and zooming around the city whilst massive walkers and dropship power through the streets, looking to blast apart everything in their way? Doesn't sound particularly fun but it might be if you're into TTCombat's Dropzone Commander.
Civilian Monorail // Dropzone Commander
Two Sci-Fi 10mm scale Monorail kits have been added to the mix for those wanting to dive into Dropzone Commander and create some interesting and engaging terrain elements. The Civilian one might be good as an objective point that you need to capture so that you can save the poor souls that have been left stranded onboard. Either that or it's just a great way to add some height to your boards.
You also have the Military Monorail which might find itself being more useful in actual in-game encounters. Bristling with guns, this vehicle could help level the playing field if you were able to get your enemy to the right location. It also no doubt harbours important technology and information that must be protected at all costs.
Miltiary Monorail // Dropzone Commander
There are specific scenarios for using Monorails over on the TTCombat website. If you're looking for some ideas then that might be a good place to go! Now you just need to work out what scenarios you're going to play and if you're going to be the aggressor or the defender.
You might find these fun to pick up and paint just to use as terrain across a variety of other 10mm wargames too. They seem generic enough to slot into a range of Sci-Fi games that are on the market.
Drop your thoughts below!

Monorail Monorail MONORAIL.
Beat me to it!
Lol.
Just the train and not the rails, which are buried elsewhere on their site. Great company but the website needs a bit of a sort out.
That’s a shame. A set would have been nice for Battletech and Bot War
I just checked the description and it says rail and pylons included.
Why they didn’t include the rails is baffling. While not completely useless without them it’s close. I couldn’t find any rails for sale on their site except for a straight track two pack of mdf, no thanks. I have the old set with the bendy track and will probably pick up the military version at some point.
I just double checked the description and it says 7 feet of track and eight pylons for both versions.
good reading and comprehension skills, better than myself obviously, thanks for the heads up and sorry for the almost freak out.
I think they changed the description.
Brigade models does a lovely set. I do like the retro style of the civilian train above but I prefer brigade models offerings
