Richard The Lionheart Revealed As One Of FireForge’s New Characters
May 24, 2018 by dracs
FireForge Games have announced that they are preparing to release new character packs, the first of which will be Richard the Lionheart.
Richard the Lionheart was King of England in the late 12th century. He gained his nickname from his reputation as a great military leader, which he earned partly from his role in the Third Crusades.
As a leader figure, he looks very regal, both on foot and mounted. I will admit to not being too fond of that statue-like mounted pose.
Which other historical heroes would you like to see?

I’ll definitely pick him up to use as my Warlord in Saga. He’d be in a Crusader army of f course. I won’t sctually build a Crusader army but instead use my Norman army and just swap Richard in.
Cool. Third Crusade has a lot going for it, even in the preparation stages you’ve got English landings in Portugal and battles against the Almohads, the Cyprus debacle where Richard conquers the island after the local Byzantines loot his treasure ship after running aground in a storm. All of this before the fleet had even landed in the Holy Land! Interesting era of history, and a nice looking sculpt.
Well i’ve just found my Warlord for SAGA Crusaders / Military Orders 😀 .
he looks great as any commander.
That is gorgeous. I need it.
I think he likes his chain mail a lot.
Wow! Amazing model! Have to get this on! Thinking of maybe doing a Robin Hood diorama, and he would be perfect in it!
Can’t go wrong with Fireforge.
