Two Revolutionaries Join The Giants In Miniature Collection
January 31, 2023 by brennon
Wargames Illustrated has added two new miniatures to their Giants In Miniature collection for you to snap up. This time around there are two Historical revolutionaries to choose from although others might call them bandits. Get a look at Makhno And Schuss.
Makhno And Schuss // Wargames Illustrated
These two were leaders in the Makhnovist Insurgency and were considered to have either fought for social justice, liberty and freedom or simply exploited the situation for their own means. Wargames Illustrated has some neat background on the pair for those who are unfamiliar with them (like me!).
As mentioned, both Nestor Makhno and Fedir Schuss would be good if you're looking to play out the Russian Civil War on the tabletop and get deeper into the characters that were involved. Nestor is the fellow with the burka coat and papakha hat. Fedir is the one dressed up like a Hussar being a bit more flamboyant. Revolutionaries do tend to be quite over-the-top but that certainly helps when riling up the crowd.
Both of these miniatures are going to be available in metal and as STL files in February via WiDigital. Talking of digital options, two more of the upcoming miniatures for the collection will also be available as STL files when their time comes.
French Veteran // Wargames Illustrated
Hussite Commander // Wargames Illustrated
Keep an eye out for the French Veteran of The Hundred Years' War and also the Hussite Commander coming up from Wargames Illustrated soon. It's neat to get such a peek ahead at what's coming and hopefully, folks will find a way to fold these into their collection.
Will you be picking these up?

Interesting figures.
Nice to see Father Makhno getting some attention. His legacy lives on…”Our immediate goal is the establishment of a free soviet order, without the authority of the Bolsheviks, without pressure from any party whatsoever.”
