Andrew May of Meridian Miniatures is back on Kickstarter with a new project called Renegade 83! Kev Adams ain't sitting still and has also been working on sculpting up a range of 28mm Sci-Fi Orc Space Pirates for use in your Oldhammer wargames.

Andrew May and Kev Adams have worked together to produce a full crew of Orc Space Pirates that could form the basis of a fun unit in an old-school Warhammer 40,000 army or perhaps a squad of themselves in the myriad of Sci-Fi wargames out there.
They are led by Captain Ogvang Badgrog who has been mutated and warped with his weaponry fused to his body.

He also has his faithful companion, the space squid known as Burple! I love the details on that face and the work done on the armour, especially those classic kneepad designs. You have to paint him in bright, lurid colours and work a Goblin Green base into the mix.
The Captain is joined by a band of faithful crew armed with all sorts of different weapons.

There is the awesome First Mate Zatsnag and Dumthud with his rocket launcher at the ready. As is the case with a lot of the classic miniatures from Rogue Trader and the early days of Warhammer 40,000, the rest of the crew also have names that I'll let you find out for yourself over on the Kickstarter page.
Carrying the loot and most assuredly on the level, there is also Wotzag The Goblin.

I'm sure that he isn't siphoning off a few of the coins from those treasure chests to sort out his retirement fund. Why would you doubt this lovable rogue? This fellow is added into the mix as a bonus for backers at a certain level.

Pop these fellows into your games of Gorkamorka and beyond and you'll have a lot of fun! Kev Adams really is pushing the boat out at the moment and looking to flood the internet with awesome-looking greenskins!
Could you be tempted by this scurvy-riddled crew?

A change of direction for Meridian but a welcome one.
I’m hankering for these for Stargrave pirates to bolster those from that Spanish company whose name I’ve forgotten.
