AdeptiCon has grown consistently over the past thirteen years, from the humble 110 person event in 2002, to the amazing 2,400 attendees AdeptiCon hosted in 2015.
Over these thirteen years, AdeptiCon has been held at five different venues. They have expanded from a handful of events to well over 300 tournaments, event games, and hobby seminars covering all aspects of the miniature war gaming hobby- and the time for registration is drawing to a close.
Registration closes on 2/29/16, which means if you have purchased your badge and tickets prior to then, you will be able to pick it all up during the Wednesday evening hours, after 6pm. This is one of those special treats, where you can beat the crowds and have a look through all your amazing Adepticon swag!
Just in case you need any additional incentive to come to the convention, this week, AdeptiCon has also announced that the uber-talented, Mark Gibbons, will be hanging out in the Games & Gears booth throughout the con. Stop by and have a chat with one of the industry's most iconic artists.
"Games Workshop has long been known for its iconic art, especially during the 1990s. And few artists were as iconic as Mark Gibbons. Mark began his tenure with Games Workshop at their Nottingham HQ in 1992 and the next five years would become known as his “Spiky Period.”
During that time, Mark’s illustrations would grace the pages of GW’s best known games, including the 5th Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, the 2nd Edition of Warhammer 40,000, and the legendary Necromunda. "
"After his tour of duty with Games Workshop, Mark spent time working for a number of ground-breaking videogame development studios, including Sony and Blizzard Entertainment where he worked as a concept artist on World of Warcraft.
Recently, Mark has made triumphant return to his first love- tabletop gaming – and is currently working with Andy Chambers on developing some exciting new projects."
