Red Dragon Gaming Go Delving With New Adventure Tiles
June 21, 2019 by brennon
Red Dragon Gaming is back on Kickstarter right now looking to fund their new Adventure Realm Tiles Set, Cave & Cavern.
The new set follows the trend of their past releases, offering up a range of rewritable tiles which can be used for your roleplaying games on the tabletop.
Each set offers up a sixteen eight inch square tiles, all with full artwork, giving you 2000 square inches of mapping artwork for you to play around with. Caves and caverns are landscapes familiar to adventurers so it's good to see them popping up as part of their collection.
The tiles can be arrayed in multiple different ways, allowing you to make large caverns or smaller twisting networks.
Additional Sets
As well as the Cave & Cavern collection there is also a range of additional sets from their previous projects...
Castle & Dungeon
Town & Wilderness
Village & Riverlands
All of the tilesets feature similar levels of detail and loads of options for people who like taking their roleplaying games down to the tabletop with miniatures.
I also think that these would be good for people who want to play more skirmish games without the need for a big gaming table and terrain. You could use these to play out smaller skirmish games like Frostgrave, Rangers Of Shadow Deep and more, laying out larger set-ups in order to get that tabletop wargaming feel.
Are you tempted by this new Kickstarter project?

If you combine them with a few 3d elements such as the Mantic Terrain Crate stuff you can almost do away with having to design maps in advance for RPG encounters. If you have an encounter in a Cavern you can simply have a rough idea of how big it needs to be and just randomly generate it as and when you need. Comparing them to the official d&d ones I prefer these. The d&d ones are far more… Read more »
