Red Box Games Go Sword & Sorcery With Barbaria Range
May 19, 2023 by brennon
Red Box Games have got their sights set on a new range of Sword & Sorcery style miniatures for you to use in your tabletop adventures. Plenty of rippling muscles are on show as part of their recent previews which will be joining the Barbaria collection soon.
Barbaria // Red Box Games
If you're into the Conan vibe for your wargaming then this is certainly going to be the miniatures range for you. There were plans for a multipart plastic range but before that, it looks like we're going to be getting a set of single-piece miniatures, from characters to troops for your warbands, as part of a new Kickstarter.
The Mighty Tharr // Red Box Games
Sword & Sorcery is the name of the game so you'll find yourself fighting alongside burly barbarians, deadly sorcerers and perhaps some snakemen (there are some good plastic miniatures from North Star for that!). The idea is that the miniatures should work individually as warband members but also be viable when ranked up for something more mass battle in style.

The miniatures are looking great and I could see these fitting into a variety of awesome Fantasy skirmish games. I bet you could have some real fun with these in a game like 7TV, playing out some Conan-esque fun on the tabletop.
I also like the idea of dropping these characters into something a bit bigger than your normal skirmish. I could see these as an epic SAGA: Age Of Magic army, led by Tharr as he seeks to take the crown from some unworthy ruler.
Make sure to take a closer look at more from Red Box Games over on their Facebook Page!

Ooh the det collectors are here to square up.
Question is where to get them from if you live in the UK…?
I thought this company had gone down the way of the dodo? Glad to see them still open. I have a lot of their figures, especially their barbarians. Always nice to see more barbarians.
