Ragnarok’s Draugr Kickstarter Closes In On Final Few Days

Ragnarok Miniatures is closing in on the final few days of their Kickstarter campaign which is aiming to bring a mighty army of 28mm Draugr to the tabletop for use in your Fantasy wargames. The campaign is funded nicely and they have now been adding new miniatures into the mix!

The Draugr army is now ready and raring to go, warring across the tabletops of Middle-earth or perhaps surging forth from Hel during the time of Ragnarok. If you'd like to see more of these miniatures close up then you can take a look at our article HERE.

Gerry also talked about the release of some new Goblins for the Kickstarter campaign and now we've finally been able to see some finished versions of these miniatures that you're able to scoop up in different packs.

All of these have been designed to match the look and feel of Ragnarok's Draugr and Dvergr and would obviously be perfect for use in games like SAGA: Age Of Magic. You could also just use these as alternative armies in your regular games of SAGA too, clashing with Viking forces on the tabletop.
Additionally, there is certainly something Tolkienesque about these releases. The Goblins/Orcs here could be used to represent the forces of Mordor or perhaps the Goblins of Goblin Town if you used these unarmoured versions below.

You also have these Hill Goblins who are clad in robes. These could be used to represent the dark forces that scamper through the forests in search of Dwarves to grab off into the darkness. All armed with spears, they would work nicely as the core of a new Fantasy force.

Some of my favourite Goblins are the Forest Snaga Goblins. Hooded and cloaked in fur, these would be a great set of specialists. I like the idea of using them as the elite element of your force, perhaps as Uruk-Hai racing after the Fellowship?

Some of the sculpts mirror the look and feel of the Orcs and Goblins as envisioned by Frank Frazetta in his artwork which I think is neat. It's awesome that the Kickstarter expanded past the Draugr and now basically features a whole army of Goblins too.
It will be intriguing to see what Ragnarok Miniatures do next. With Dvergr, Draugr and Dokkalfar already finished and a host of Valhallan Vikings available too, perhaps we'll see them look at making the Ljósálfar?
I would love to see some Ragnarok Miniatures Elves!

Man that is some tasty looking new figures for gaming with.
Those are really nice.
Finally, a kickstarter that looks like it might be worth backing.
Very nice miniature sculpts and very versatile miniatures to use across games and systems. I could see these working great in Lord of the Rings settings.
