Raging Heroes Show Off Awesomely Painted Band Of Jailbirds
March 4, 2020 by brennon
Raging Heroes has been showing off some sterling work from a painter called Johnny Kwok Sing Wong who took some of the Jailbirds from their collection and mashed them up with the Goliath Rockgrinder from Warhammer 40,000 to create an awesome crew ready to take on the grimdark.
The collection of characters used came from the Jailbirds Coyote Crew Troopers range and were used to place around, on top of and within the vehicle to give you the impression of a bunch of soldiers who have managed to wrangle this vehicle for their next mission.
You could see them shoving the startled driver from his cabin and taking command of this as they look to head to the front lines and butcher some Xenos who have infiltrated their city! Well, either that or they have broken out of their cells and are now going on a joyride.
There is some superb painting on display here across the crew of Jailbirds and I love that each of them is packed with character. I think these would be rather fun to use as a Penal Legion unit in your games of Warhammer 40,000, perhaps 'set loose' by the Imperium in order to do something they didn't want to waste proper Astra Militarum troops on.
As a diorama in its own right, the selection looks awesome though. I think you'd be very happy just having this on display!
You can check out more from this particular painting project HERE where you can look at each of the individual Jailbirds in turn. You can also get your own Jailbirds from Raging Heroes and make a unit to suit your own needs.

Those are some amazing paint jobs. Far beyond my patience and capability.
I do like Raging Heroes stuff, but it usually costs as much (or even more) than GW stuff… so beyond my budget.
Their ten girl squads are usually cheaper than GW, due to them always having sales on. Quality is ace.
These do look great and I really like how they have painted the vehicle in muted tones to highlight the lovely paint job on the miniatures!
They would make a great elite unit sitting on a tank after an operation?
Big fan of Raging Heroes, deffo top end of the market but well worth the cost.
Amazing NMM paintjob on that truck, looks awesome!
