The Quirky Knights Of Gnar Come To ThunderChild’s Wasteman
September 29, 2016 by brennon
If you thought that ThunderChild's Wasteman wasn't quirky and odd enough already wait until you check out the Knights Of Gnar who are currently being funded on Kickstarter.
Each of these Mutant Knights has been sculpted for the 35mm scale world of Wasteman as strange warriors making themselves known to the other post-apocalyptic survivors.
However, as you can see they are wearing some pretty archaic armour! With that in mind, you could always drop them into your old school Fantasy campaigns and skirmish games too.
I know that I for one would follow the mighty Harambe The Valiant (seen above) into battle! A lot of them appear to be riding massive snails into battle so I'm not sure how good their thunderous charge will be...
Either way, I reckon that you're not likely to see miniatures like this anywhere else! I love how out there and plain odd this range is, packed with interesting characters and retro designs.
Stretch Goals
The campaign has more than exceeded its humble funding goal and that's unlocked more characters for you to use on the tabletop.
Who would have thought you'd need an Eldritch Warthrone from which to cast spells and direct the action in battle?
As mentioned above these would be great for use in your Fantasy games as villains deep within a forgotten dungeon. Considering their scale as well I think they'd make for frightening foes for a party of adventurers to face.
This is just a smattering of what's available for you to pick up from ThunderChild. While it might be a quite niche product on the whole I think Wasteman has been developing nicely!
What do you think?

Well it’s funded. that makes me happy as all my Gorilla Warrior dreams will be realised … sigh…Gorilla warriors ..can life get any better??
I love this, just not sure how well it’ll sit alogside wasteman though?
They mix in really nicely with the Gnarly pilgrims. Was aiming for a canticle for leibowitz/ krull/ thundarr the barbarian style for the overall faction. They look just as great fighting skeletons as giant robots
