PWork Wargames Release New Grim Underhive Gaming Mat

PWork Wargames has released a brand new gaming mat for you to use with your 28mm Sci-Fi wargames. The Underhive is available over on their webstore right now and offers up a neat backdrop for a deadly skirmish.

Much like with their previous releases, this gaming mat comes in a variety of different materials. You can snap it up in PVC/Vinyl as well as Neoprene/Rubber and Cloth. Additionally, the dimensions can be as a little as 3x3 or as big as 4x6. There are also specific size options for using this with Kill Team by Games Workshop.

It's neat getting a little bit of a close-up on the mat and some of the detail present here. I like the rusted and busted-up metal that represents the classic setting for a Necromunda clash. The addition of plenty of grating as well as hazard lines starts to add some character to the gaming mat as well.

But, you don't need to just use this mat for the likes of Necromunda. You could also use this for your games of Infinity as you can see below. Infact, this should work for pretty much any Sci-Fi wargame where you want to take on a battle in a grimy corner of a city.

The squared nature of the mat design also makes this pretty handy for working out where to place terrain and also games where perhaps distances are more important. With a multitude of different uses, this Underhive mat seems like it could be a decent addition to your collection. This chimes nicely with the knowledge that we're heading to a Space Hulk soon in Kill Team!
