PWork Wargames Finds Out If There Is Life On Mars
September 18, 2020 by avernos
PWork Wargames have beaten Elon Musk to the surface of the Red Planet as they introduce us to the line of the Lands of Mars, a new design which is ideal for Sci-Fi tabletop wargames if you fancy kicking up some dust you can check it out below.
Lands of Mars // PWork Wargames
This new mat gives you a broken and blasted ancient landscape allowing you to bring to life a desolate pockmarked world on the tabletop. With the new Necrons coming to Warhammer 40,000, this is a pretty good match for those who want to play out scenarios of them awakening from their tomb worlds to destroy all who oppose them, or perhaps the Ad Mech are being forced to defend their Factoriums during the Horus Heresy. I for one am holding out for a John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars game but that's a story for another day.
Customisation // PWork Wargames
As with all of the mats from PWork Wargames, you can get them in a variety of different sizes and they come in PVC/Vinyl, Neoprene/Rubber and Cloth depending on the material that most suits you. So if you need a small mat for Star Wars: Legion or full table coverage for 40K, including the new suggested game sizes, then they have you covered.
The resolution looks great as always and with some set on pieces of terrain you can be fighting for control over the Red Planet in double-quick time.

Life is life… naanaanaa nananaaaa…. all Germans have now a terrible flashback and an earworm…
everyone needs a Berlin period
The donuts are great from Tesco.
Nice option for games of 40k when defending player plays Adeptus Mechanicus.
It looks great!
a fabulous mat.
I think the size of the craters makes it look too ‘zoomed-out’ for a 28mm game. I could see it fitting better for X-Wing dogfighting over.
