PWork Wargames Venture Into The Desert Dunes With New Mat
February 4, 2020 by brennon
PWork Wargames has a new mat for us all this week which is very much a blank canvas for you to use across all manner of different genres and games.
The Desert Dune mat here gives you a sea of sand which already makes me feel parched! I think this would be pretty awesome for use in your World War II games as the Desert Rats battle across its expanse. Perhaps you could even use it as the setting for a clash between Fantasy armies who are looking to uncover some lost temple or treasure.
Maybe you could even use it as the base for something Medieval? With Warren currently working on his Crusades table based around Acre, this could be used as the desert which sits off in the distance, an ominous threat where Saladin waits to strike at his European foes.
What do you make of this particular mat option from PWork Wargames?

nice
Has anyone ever done a Dune table-top game ? You can almost hear the thumpers and see the worm sign.
40k is heavily inspired by Dune. I don’t think it would add much. You could already use Van Saar gangers for Fremen, if you like. I bet there will be a Villeneuve-Dune licensed game by the end of the year, by one of the Cheap Chinese Crap Plastic(TM) companies like FFG.
We’re safe no worm signs.
A nice mat.
