Puppets War’s Next Terrain Takes You to the Trenches
October 13, 2014 by dracs
It's time for some trench warfare as Puppets War give us a first look at their upcoming trenches terrain pieces.
These new terrain pieces will allow you to build a winding trenchworks to fortify your position, with built up earth works to help further the protection provided. Fortunately, the sections on display here don't show much in the way of distinguishing features marking them out as belonging to a specific time period, meaning you could easily use them for both WWI and scifi gaming tables.
Would you bunk down to some trench warfare in these?

That’s not a trench, that’s maybe earthworks.
At least the log revetment is constructed correctly.
Trenches are one of those holy grails of terrain building, but the ugly truth is that unless it’s built into the table, it looks tacked on. Just like two buildings don’t make a city board, a real trench table is humongous work to make (and a pain to store).
That said, those look nice if you don’t want to build your own (not that hard really). They could be used as a defensive wall around barracks or ammo dump or something like that.
would look good on a Russian front board, as earth work defences, and my wife would love em to hide her Russian Horde behind
Always difficult to hide, those pesky Russian hordes.
These look better than most of the pieces out there, but as someone mentioned, you can make your own. Not sure what the deal is with the spoil on the top. Seems inconsistent.
