December 8, 2022 by brennon
Another Osprey Games wargame is out in the wild! Pulp! Skirmish Adventure Wargaming from Marco Arnaudo with illustrations by Dimitris Martinos is now available for you to snap up, allowing you to dive into some rip-roaring and world-spanning adventures across the tabletop.
Pulp! Skirmish Adventure Wargaming // Osprey Games
Pulp! steps into the tabletop gaming arena as a scenario-driven skirmish wargame covering the Interwar Years of the 20th Century. You will be able to build teams of adventurers akin to the likes of Indiana Jones, exploring lost ruins and dealing with villainous foes. You can also make explorers, hardboiled Noir detectives and even costumed superheroes and avengers who can take on the role of early crimefighters.

The rules also come with mechanics for solo and cooperative play plus a full-on head-to-head style affair if you like that traditional meeting of minds. You'll find everything that you need inside to help tell amazing adventures on the tabletop using an array of miniatures already available out there in the world.
Could you be tempted to dive into Pulp!?

I have the pre order and more ideas than I could sit down and paint in a lifetime
My favorite plots are with the Phantom – “The Ghost Who Walks”(the comic book character). You can do almost anything with him – from Nazis to pirates to voodoo madmen.
Also, give me anything with Flash Gordon and I am a happy camper.
Looks interesting.
I love this genre. At the club we use the Pulp Alley 2nd rules, because they are completely customizable and allow you to create your own heroes and villians – besides being easy to learn.
I will get these after Xmas and the postal madness. It is always nice to play with the same characters but with different rulesets. It will also help me overcome the depression ‘Indiana Jones 5’ is giving me.
I only order stuff that will be sent royal mail tracked, or from amazon at moment.
Wayland and Chaoscards send everything tracked, so it gets delivered.
Don’t hold your breath on postal madness being resolved after xmas… union and management can’t agree on anything.
Thanks for the info.
Dieselpunk FTW!
Preordered and it turned up today. Only had a quick look but am disappointed. Wasnt expecting much for the price but this is very basic.
the rules for solo play looks to be play both side your self. there is a couple 1vs1 missions in the book something to help make your own that isnt just keep it fair would have been nice.
Pity I read your comments after placing the order.
I was hoping for some decent solo rules.
I really love Pulp! – but most of the Blue-Line Osprey Books are hmmm… somewhat “basic”… the better one (like IHMN) evolve into real nice rulesets though.
Pulp Alley is a really nice game.
But right now I would suggest 7TV Pulp! – it pretty much nails the whole genre.
Very disappointed in Pulp.
Play vs yourself is not a solo game and it feels like they squeezed that line in the ‘Key Concepts’ section on page 4 to convince people to buy it as a solo in the post covid world we live in.
