PSC Games Launch Richard Borg’s Red Alert Kickstarter
June 6, 2018 by dracs
Plastic Soldier Company are going to space with their Kickstarter for Richard Borg's Red Alert.
Red Alert is a Command & Colours board game, taking the series into space with two opposing fleets of ships.
It keeps to the game series' focus on card mechanics and hex-based movement to simulate the clash between the fleets of the Commonwealth Alliance and Rebel Confederation.
The Command & Colours historical games have a very loyal following of players, so it is cool to see it being used for something entirely new, namely scifi ship-based combat.
The game itself looks very promising, with loads of cool stuff in the box so that you can get started right out of the gate.
Is this a Kickstarter you plan on getting in on?

For some reason I read this as command and conquer red alert game and got excited…
I had the same idea … because the font of the title is similar.
I hope they don’t get in trouble for the name.
You can’t copyright names, phrases or titles.
The computer game is trademarked command &conquer red alert
Same here. Now I’m disappointed! If someone did Tiberian Sun in 10mm I’d sign up for that straight away.
As this is presented now, they’ve lost me with two fleets of the same designs. That feels lazy.
Not feeling the love for those space ship models.
this looks great plus the ships can beef up other fleet games as cargo/replenishment ships.
I love PSC kits for 15mm ww2 they are detailed and paint well plus its affordable. But PSC KS are.another story I backed Battle of Britain ks which has been disaster with models not up to scratch which fair play to psc they are redoing but when things went sideways (which you have to be prepared for in ks) the comms were non existent. The rule books confusing and not written well and a number of other issues too. Other ks by psc have suffered also so do some research before backing .
The models looked ok when saw them at Games Expo, think they would be good for the ‘Lost Fleet’ type games.
