Prodos Game’s Warzone Resurrection Goes Full Retail!
May 20, 2014 by brennon
Prodos Games had some pretty exciting news late on Monday. They've gone full retail with their Mutant Chronicles Warzone Resurrection line-up and here is a bit of a peek at what they've got available at the moment!
First up we have two starter sets for the Brotherhood and the Cybertronic factions. Each set has some amazing looking miniatures in it and it would be hard to choose which one of them you'd pick up. I think Brotherhood would win out slightly even if they Cybertronic big guy is awesome.
As well as the starter sets they have also delved into a mass of infantry additions. Those Heavy Infantry are some of the coolest looking miniatures I think I've ever seen and it's hard to pass up some chain-blade wielding maniacs!
If you're interested in getting something a bit more exotic you could look at the Mishima Dragon Riders (second from top). Not something I thought would appear in Warzone but cool none-the-less!
Will you be buying some?

This deserve to end up on the main page – not only is it a major landmark for the rebirth of a classic game, but also a great looking game
those minis look amazing! would make great proxies for many a game, (probably end up getting the brotherhood troopers as errants for warmachine)
anyone play the game and know if the starter set is enough to get you going?
Have they reduced the size of the armies for the new edition?
New edition is more a skirmish game over a 40K sized skirmish (won’t call either a battle game) – trying for a 1st E. vibe.
Doesn’t stop you using the mini’s for the older rules though.
Amazing minis, might have a look at this game.
It’s very much a skirmish game – 12 models aside etc. But are free to play bigger games.
Was happy with the Cybertronic starterset I got from the KS – And now theres more products on sale, I’ll probably delve into it further too.
@demyse : rulewise the starters are totally playable. Depending which army and weapon options you generally got 400 to 500 points.
As always it is better with more models. The real first interesting size of a game is 750 which comes quickly, and i think most games will be at 1000, which can come quickly too just by adding some heavy or monster
brilliant thanks, wonder if they would do a 2 player starter set?
This should absolutely be on the front page, agreed.
I found it odd that they changed the whats in the starters. That large thing in the Cybertronic starter I have never seen and am sure its not in the current rule book. Wonder if they will be releasing new units with each book like warmachine.
The big Cybertronic robot is an Exterminateur, an larger Attila variant. We will get rules for new units in an PDF soon.
Bought both the new starters yesterday even if I already have the old KS ones, they will mix together nicely though. They are already in transit can’t wait 🙂
This is one of those “..doing the right thing for the game” decisions that is all the more remarkable when you consider how small Prodos are and how (relatively) new the game is. They have adjusted both the composition of some starters, as well as the pose /sculpts of many of the existing squads since their KS release to ensure that what hits retail is really solid. As soon as I get my Imperial starter I will be sure to pick up the tweaked Mortants and I’m looking forward to the revised Hussars and Vulcan too!
Hey, very happy see some toys sculpted by me released 😀
