Previews Arrive For Iron Hills Chariots In The Hobbit SBG!
April 28, 2017 by stvitusdancern
When you hear the word Dwarves what do you picture in your mind? It would probably be a safe bet that you would not see war chariot manned by a Dwarven driver and his crew of warriors being pulled by six rams. Well, that is exactly what you will get if you are able to get your hands on the upcoming release from Forge World.
The Iron Hills Chariot will be releasing soon (do not have a date yet) and it looks to be a tremendous piece. Any serious collector of all things Dwarf related must have this.
At the forefront of Dain Ironfoot’s army ride the Iron Hills Chariots. Intent on nothing less than the total destruction of their foes, they smash through shieldwalls and cleave apart those unfortunate enough to find themselves in the path of their bladed wheels.
This is intended for The Hobbit: Strategy Battle Game and you will also have the option of either a team driver or an Iron Hills Captain. I am so happy that Games Workshop and Forge World are reinvesting in the Middle Earth. I will be picking on up when it comes available, will you?
Have you tried The Hobbit: Strategy Battle Game?

Stunning, can’t wait for the pre-order to start.
Stunning model, the middle earth team are doing great stuff. The bean counters setting the price mean the range is not for me, but great to see the sculpts.
I will be all over this like …. (okay I’ve used most of the clean sayings before ….I can’t use the famous people ones … so I am going to have to go to mildly disgusting) …… poo in a baby’s nappy.
It looks great.
Very cool but I shudder at the upcoming price and what it may be
Holy banana! Look at the size of that thing.
A Welshman’s Fantasy: Sheep and Dwarfs
Lol, by tremendous price, you mean a mortgage required.
Is middle earth becoming the new Old World by proxy? Not sure what it has to do with Tolkien’s setting
You’d need to ask Peter Jackson. That chariot’s from the Battle of Five Armies film.
Nuff said really 🙂
Well how much *that* has to do with Tolkien’s setting I’ll leave to someone who’s watched the Hobbit films.
(Before commenting I watched the chariot scene and it is bonkers though – worth a look, whether the other 9 hours of the films are or aren’t :))
a great looking chariot straight from the film.
