More Previews For Dropzone Commander By Land & Air!
July 18, 2014 by brennon
Hawk Wargames have some more previews for Dropzone Commander and The Resistance as you might imagine! See what you think of this rather awesome looking plane and some more troopers taking those objectives on the ground...
The first preview is of this rather snazzy and yet ramshackle looking plane that will most likely be laying down some covering fire for your ground forces and taking out other Dropships. According to some of the comments its based on the A-10 Thunderbolt which you can certainly see by the rear of the vehicle.
As well as aggressive force in the air we have some more troopers taking those objectives on the ground and securing them against the enemy. Being industrious people The Resistance have grabbed some Scourge Plasma Guns and will be hosing down the unsuspecting enemy with this alien goo. I can imagine it's pretty toxic and that's why they're wearing those long coats and gas masks.
What do you think of these new previews?

I’m digging the A10 vibe on that flyer.
I like the lower tech cobbled together look of Resistance stuff. Still looks like it could dish it out, too.
Looking at the wing shapes on either side it looks like it would be an absolute pig to fly, dare I say Warthog.
No doubt fly-by-wire. But then again, look at the F-4 Phantom and tell me that should fly lol. Strap enough thrust to anything…
Seems to be a trend nowadays, what with the Typhoon being reliant on a computer to keep it in the air.
The new flyer above does have a rugged charm to it, but for me the PHR flyers are the most aesthetically pleasing.
A10 meets F86 meets Ju87.
The motto of the Harrier (AV8) is ‘In Thrust We Trust’.
I like the patchwork on the plane, but if they just ruffed it up a bit more as in make the patch panels look hammered into shape it be even better. Mind you, at this scale paint can make it look that way.
I’ll take three!
