Pre-Order Gates Of Antares Starter Set & Warlord Gives You Gifts!
October 9, 2015 by stvitusdancern
We have been reporting on this game for some time now, and we have had glimpse of it here and there, I even got a demo game in at the past Adepticon and I was interested.
Now as we get ready for the big release date, Warlord Games is sweetening the deal. For a limited time when you pre-order the starter set The Xilos Horizon, from now until the release date in November of this year you will get a couple of really nice gifts:
When you pre-order directly from Warlord Games you will receive a personally signed art print of the box artwork from the game's designer Rick Priestley, a PDF download of the Concord & Ghar army lists, the limited edition model of Fartok, Veteran Leader of Battle Group Nine, Unarmoured and now the Transmat Station from Sarissa Precision.
These items will only be made available during pre-order and will be discontinued on the release of Beyond the Gates of Antares.
That is some incentive to get in on the pre-order of the game and what a nice Christmas present (did I really just mention Christmas?) it would make for the favorite gamer in your life (yes you count).
This system is looking better and better all of the time and I think we might see some really nice reports from the guys in the future, I think this would look smashing filmed in the Cage (just makes you want to talk in that deep growly announcer voice doesn't it?).
Are you excited for the release of this game?

That is one tempting starter box.
I’ve already preordered mine. Now I just have to wait patiently for a few weeks.
Oh my! I wish I were a millionaire!
@Warzan – I think you lads need to do a boot-camp on this one early next year!
Right I’m seriously broke now. Just pre-ordered as well. Between this, the Infinity Kickstarter, the Warpath Kickstarter and the Seven Sins Kickstarter I am now on the poverty line. Still, at least I will have something to play with while I’m there…….
That’s a lot of stuff for a good price, and perhaps even more free suff will be added to the launch edition of GoA.
When is the pre-order face over?
The game will be released “early November” but they’ve strongly hinted that pre-orders will be sent earlier than that.
Get your pre-order in while you can, people!
Been let down by the KOW kickstarter so put the money I saved for Warpath into this instead.
I skipped the Seven Sins kickstarter and saved my money for this one and it’s starting to look like it was worth it.
Preordered mine as well. Usually I’ll try and wait for retail to support my local stores but I can’t wait for this one. I just hope it gets to me in the U.S. in a timely fashion. Having to wait a month on the Royal Mail to get here might be more than I can take!
Really, really looking forward to this!
If they have captured the essence of the Bolt Action rules, combined with the more minimalistic and less over-blown style of the game, a sensible volume of troops on the tabletop to represent platoon-level combat, this could quite easily become the best mass-scale sci-fi game on the market.
From the abortive Kickstarter project always thought this had a lot of potential, really looking forward to this release !
I played a demo of this at the Derby wargames show the other day, and it’s looking good. I also got hold of a couple of their new plastic sprues, which are very good quality. For some close up pics surf over to my blog:
