Precinct Omega Release New Game, Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark

Precinct Omega has now released their new Sci-Fi Starship Combat game, Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark! This new game builds on the Horizon Wars world and takes it out into the cold darkness of the void.

The idea behind this game is that you take any of your starship miniatures from a variety of produces and drop them into solo, cooperative and competitive games. You can also dive into clashes that are focused around tight dogfights or massive capital ship encounters.
Based in the world of Horizon Wars, Infinite Dark uses the same d12 mechanic (love me a d12) which has now been reimagined for a new setting. These folks have done 6/10mm, 28mm and now starship combat!

There are a few more neat things within the system which are worth exploring too. You can play Infinite Dark solo as mentioned above, add in "heroes" which can change the course of your battles and also explore a full campaign system that allows them to develop over a series of linked missions.
If you're eager to pick out a new starship combat game then this might be worth considering. You can either snag yourself a PDF copy of the rules or go in for a print-on-demand hardcover book if you desire.
Are you a fan of the Horizon Wars games?

The ships & stations on the website are looking great.
That is a lot more expensive game to try versus “A Billion Suns” $26 for the PDF is a lot.
I can’t remember another POD game that didn’t give you the PDF for free with a print copy.
Would be nice to have an actual preview PDF instead of just a blow up of the front cover.
Unless I see it in a store where I can thumb through it, I think I’ll pass.
