Pre-Order Mirmulnir In Modiphius’ The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
December 31, 2020 by brennon
Fantasy wargame The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms is getting its Dragon soon as the much-previewed Mirmulnir dropped on their Modiphius webstore ahead of a January/February release.
Mirmulnir // The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
Here is some of the background behind this mighty beast who survived the purges and is now seeking revenge alongside more of his kin...
"A foe from the distant past, the ancient Dragon Mirmulnir escaped the wrath of the Blades in the Second Age. It returns to terrorise Whiterun, attacking the Western Watchtower with fire, claws and teeth. Only the actions of The Dragonborn and a small band of Jarl Balgruuf’s guard held it at bay. But Mirmulnir is just the vanguard of the newly resurgent forces of Dragons, and it will not be the last to challenge The Dragonborn."
This is a MASSIVE 32mm high-quality resin kit which can be assembled alongside its scenic base to make a predatory dragon which is on the hunt. I like that they've designed the dragon to work on the ground so it looks like it would fit into the hand-to-hand combat happening on the tabletop.
Mirmulnir // The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
This Dragon is to be used alongside the core rules for Call To Arms and anyone who orders Mirmulnir will also get a free PDF supplement for the specific rules and scenario to use him in-game. So, if you want to set yourself against an impressive challenge with or without your friends, this might be a lot of fun.
Are you going to be picking up Mirmulnir?

Great looking dragon.
Nice model… If only time and money and space… you know what I mean 😉
Mirmulnir is the first dragon you battle/kill in Skyrim, at the watchtower outside of Whiterun with the troop of Whiterun guards. So they must have future plans for some of the more notable dragons in the game, like Alduin, Odahviing, and Paarthurnax.
I’ve got to say this is a glorious dragon. I placed a preorder last week and it actually arrived in the post today! The toes on the feet are separate. The wings are, predictably smooth. All that dappling is paint (as I expected). I’m in the middle of painting a unit so I’ll be going through all the parts for Mirmulnir later on but he’s looking very impressive for now.
Ooh a fabulous looking dragon figure.
£100. The red dragon from Steamforged for £40 seems to be a good alternative.
The dragon looks great, but I can’t help but feel that it needs a bigger base. There’s just something that looks off about the one its on.
Fantastic looking model. So good for other games as well.
