Pre-Order The Shaltari Celestial Dragon For Dropzone Commander!
August 29, 2022 by brennon
TTCombat has announced another of the Behemoth miniatures for Dropzone Commander. Previous to this, we had the mighty UCM Behemoth but now they are firing up pre-orders for the 10mm scale (but still huge!) Shaltari Celestial/Earth Dragon.
Shaltari Celestial/Earth Dragon Behemoth (Front) // Dropzone Commander
Whilst this miniature is labelled as the Celestial Dragon, this kit can also be built as the Earth Dragon if you prefer. The Earth Dragon comes with the terrifying Super Disruption Cannon but also the Bio-Atomiser Fangs that can be used to turn infantry and smaller vehicles to slag. It also comes with six Gauss Destroyers that can be used to provide even more headaches for the enemy.

The Celestial Dragon is more precise. It comes with a Particle Triad, Laser Fangs (sounds like an 80s movie) and the same six Gauss Destroyers. So, it's more focused when it comes to what it takes out but can still dish out an absurd amount of firepower.

Now, as you can see the Celestial/Earth Dragon is a pretty massive miniature and quite a chunk of resin. It will utterly dwarf everything else on the tabletop and take up a fair amount of space in your army too.
It has been recommended that this kit is for advanced modellers as there are so many little bits that need to be tinkered with when bringing this to life. It is also likely to require pinning to keep some of the different elements of the kit in place.
With that said, if you're a Shaltari player who has absolutely everything, you might want to pick this up to complete your collection (so far).
Pre-orders are available now ahead of a release on 9th September!

That looks really good.
Sorry I accept it is my eyesight but when i first looked at this I thought it was a load of clothes pegs clipped together.
For me no it looks more like some complex lego kit it would give me nightmares even thinking of trying to built it.
Another example of a Great looking model, but truly horrible functionality.
It looks like a horror show to assembly, which is not something you want to ever have. Putting models together is part of the Hobbie and should always be considered when designing a model.
It utterly fails as a game piece, in my opinion. It looks like it is so fragile that any real gameplay will leave it broken instantly. Thats not even mentioning that how are meant to transport it.
Nice Looks like an a escapee from Avengers or something like that.
Neat idea that kinda doesn’t work in execution? Instead of looking like a centipede, it’s just a jumbled mess of angles and the default color scheme does not help, making them all blend together.
I think this would look cool on a scenic base wrapped around a statue or wrecked building. Make use of the articulation.
