Pre-Order New Slaves To Darkness For Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
November 22, 2024 by brennon
Games Workshop are taking pre-orders for The Mortal Realms this weekend. Warhammer Age Of Sigmar will play host to the Slaves To Darkness who will be getting a new Battletome and more.
Slaves To Darkness Battletome & Cards // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The new Battletome comes packed with background on the faction and the clash for dominance between the powers of Be’lakor and Archaon. They share at least one thing in common; The Mortal Realms need to burn. You'll find full Battle Traits, Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, Artefacts Of Power, and more, which are included alongside forty-three Warscrolls and the new Darkoath-themed Spearhead.
You'll also find mighty Armies and Regiments Of Renown as well as Daemon Warscrolls to use with Be’lakor's army. Additionally, the books come with the new Path To Glory rules so you can chart the evolution of your Champion's army over the course of months of games.
All of this comes contained within the big Battletome or the Gamer's Edition and the Reference Cards (see above). You can also get the separate Warscroll Cards and Dice for the Slaves To Darkness if you want to theme your army all the more.

Whilst it doesn't show it on the dice in the image above, the six spots on the dice are taken by a Chaos Star so you can revel in the glory of your despoiling with each roll. Maybe I'm the only one who celebrates in character when I roll well or poorly.
New & Returning Miniatures
As well as the new rules, you'll also be able to pick up a new miniature for your Slaves To Darkness armies. A new Chaos Sorcerer Lord joins the fray, tapping into the winds of magic and using them to bring ruin to the settlements of Order.
Chaos Sorcerer Lord // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This Chaos Sorcerer Lord comes with optional head and staff options and gives you an excellent evil villain for your armies of Chaos. This fellow might be great for those stepping onto the Path To Glory. The glowing runic sword and big fur cloak are a perfect call back to the more classic Chaos Warriors of Warhammer.
As well as the new Chaos Sorcerer Lord, Abraxia, Spear of the Everchosen is now available separate from her Regiment Of Renown.
Abraxia, Spear Of The Everchosen // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
She is an elite warrior chosen personally by Archaon. Riding into battle atop Thanatorg, she wields the cursed spear Gorbolga the Accurs’d which can warp and mutate those that it simply touches. It requires a firm hand to use and that is why Abraxia is a deadly new villain for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar.
Last but not least, you can also get the new Spearhead Darkoath Raiders which gives you a quick way to dive into playing Warhammer Age Of Sigmar using Games Workshop's new gamemode.
Spearhead Darkoath Raiders // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This Spearhead is led by a Darkoath Warqueen who finds herself backed up by ten Darkoath Savagers and ten Darkoath Marauders. Riding around the flanks, you have five Darkoath Fellriders who will chase your enemies down. This is a great way to get your hands on the newer Darkoath miniatures if you missed out on earlier releases. I think a lot of folks are Darkoath curious and this might scratch that itch.
All of these miniatures and the new rules will be available for you to pre-order this weekend!

The sorcerer lord is a perfect fit. A wizarded-up warrior, at if he was a regular plate armoured paycho granted those powers by his patron god. It’s straight from the pages of the original Slaves to Darkness.
Yeah, it’s a super cool mini that manages to bridge the gap between the old and the new
Like the look of these.
I like how these could work in non GW games as “evil barbarians(tm)” as well.
There is very little of the typical GW Chaos style about them.
