Snap Up Pontoonier Miniatures’ Ethiopians For Colonial-Era Battles

Badger Games recently added a new selection of Pontoonier Miniatures to their collection for those looking to play out battles from possibly the Middle Ages all the way through to World War II with Ethiopians/Abyssinians.
Ethiopian Infantry Command // Pontoonier Miniatures
There are a couple of options for you to choose from when it comes to diving into this range. The Infantry Command leads the way with some neat-looking characters for you to mix in with different units on the tabletop. The range has been designed to fit with the late 1800s (hence the guns) but because they tended to use certain arms and armour, you could use these across a vast array of periods.
For example, these Infantry With Swords could be used across many different periods of history.

You could decide to level up their lethality with the addition of some Infantry With Rifles instead as you can see below. These fellows can also be armed with Muskets if you'd prefer to slot them into an earlier time period.

They should work very well as Ethiopians/Abyssinians and allow you to tell more of the stories playing out during the Colonial period as European nations got involved in power struggles across the world. Pontoonier doesn't just do these soldiers either. They also have Nepalese soldiers, the British and the Gurkhas as well as a range of Sikh infantry as well.
If you like the look of the miniatures and want those banners, they are currently available from Little Big Man, giving you access to these Italian Colonial-era banners.

You can dive into the rest of the Pontoonier Miniatures range HERE and perhaps consider telling a different story for the Colonial era. I quite like the idea of doing something with the Nepalese troops although I don't know enough about the period currently. Perhaps something to research?
What do you think of these Pontoonier figures?
