If you grew up in the 90s and play card games, chances are you have collected or played Pokemon TCG at some point. This year, it happens to be the 25th Anniversary of the whole franchise, and Pokemon TGC has some special items in-store for collectors and players to covet amongst their Dragonite hoard.

In October 2021, Pokemon TCG will have some very special sets that you certainly do not want to miss. Including mini-booster packs, players will receive four anniversary cards embedded in the set. The other cards available are yet to be still announced, but it is likely they will contain starter Pokemon, ranging all the way back to Gen 1 and featuring original artwork.

Maybe you are a collector and just want to store the goods for another 25 years! The Pokemon Company has confirmed there will be collectable variants of the promotional products. I make you right, my Pokemon collection is still bound safely in a tight binder. I wish I had an unopened pack though... I will certainly look to collect. Although, I do feel like I am slowly slipping back to the addiction already.
There is not much announced surrounding the upcoming releases for the anniversary - due to the current Eevie-centric Evolving Skies packs that are set to release soon. But keep your eyes posted on OTT, as I will keep you updated on what is making its way onto our tabletops.
What was your most coveted Pokemon Card? Mine is an Original Shiny Charizard... I remember the day I got it I convinced my sister it was a fake so she wouldn't steal it from me!

25 years an still training?
If you are still in training after 25 years you might want to change the profession…
Sidenote: Never played the pocketmonster game. Not on any Nintendo System nor as a real card game. Closest contact I had was watching 2 or 3 episodes of the TV series way back when. And that’s about it.
Pikachu really looked uncanny back in the day.
