Play Like A Champion In Android: Netrunner With FFG Pro Decks
January 12, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Fantasy Flight Games has announced that they are going to release two pre-built decks from the Android: Netrunner LCG 2015 World Champion Dan D'Argenio. Now you too can try out these two decks that he created to take him all the way to the top. The 2015 Android: Netrunner World Champion Corp Deck, Engineering the Future contains:
Fifty of the strongest Corp cards playable in Haas-Bioroid. These cards are collected from the whole of the Android: Netrunner data vault and presented with extended, full-bleed art, as well as a visually reimagined Engineering the Future identity card.
The second set is the 2015 Android: Netrunner World Champion Runner Deck, Valencia features:
The newest and most colorful additions to the Runner's side of Android: Netrunner. Each of these cards receives the same fantastic, full-bleed treatment as those within the World Champion Corp Deck, meaning the deck is almost as much a piece of art as it is a tool that allows you to rip apart Corporate R&D with the greatest of ease.
I personally have not played Android: Netrunner LCG, but I know a few members here that love the game and play it quite often. I did get to watch a couple of games during last year's Backstage Meetup at Salute and it has always interested me. Knowing the quality of Fantasy Flight Games and that I own Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones LCGs, I truly believe this is one to pick up.
Have you played Android: Netrunner LCG? Are you ready to play like a champion?

I’m a real sucker for full-art on my cards.. so even though I’ve only got a basic Netrunner collection and as yet have not even had the chance to get a game, I’d be very tempted by these!
I’m probably going to pick up the Corporation Deck – looks superb and I love playing HB.
Only thing is that these decks aren’t actually compatible with the latest tournament rules. Fine for casual play but you couldn’t use them in a proper tournament setting.
Still – gorgeous!
Yeah I know from my own (well, my kids) experience of the Pokemon tournament decks from the world championships. It’s cool to have a really competitive deck for friendly play but you can’t use them at events 🙂
Interestingly it’s not to do with the look of them as that’s fine as long as you have matte sleeves (the backs are usually a different shade to normal cards). It’s the influence of the cards that changed.
The latest rule pack changed some of the influence costs in and out of faction for some of the cards so they’re not actually legal from February onwards heh.
Still I will be getting the Corp one, splicing it up and putting copies of these into my HB deck – Stronger Together!
A Game of Thrones has completely supplanted Netrunner for me else I’d be picking these up. I’m a sucker for full bleed art, hence I’ll be hitting my third winter kit tournament when I get back home to get my third Tumblestone Knight.
Really would like those Tumblestone Knights! Going to the tournament where you can snap one up in February at my local store.
Got more Netrunner events planned as well and working towards a couple of new decks. Gabriel Santiago with some new tricks and probably GRNDL.

So is this a legal set of decks or not as I was excited to use it as a starting point to getting into netrunner??
They’re not for tournament play. FFG released a recent errata which in the main changed the cost of some cards if you use them out of faction. You can certainly play casually with them as long as your opponent is okay with it, and the cards themselves can be used to construct decks.
So are they just out and out lying about it being 100% tournament legal in the description on their website?
I’d have to check the deck listings to the errata to be sure though I’m happy to take @brennon‘s word for it.
It’s tournament legal right now – as in January, but it won’t be after February rolls around. My friend added up the influence costs of the cards in the decks @spikes13 and apparently the HB one was at least 5 points over.
I’ll check again but that seems to be the case.
