New Planechase Anthology Drops For Magic The Gathering
November 25, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
It's only fitting that the Planechase Anthology drops on Black Friday, from Wizards of the Coast. Planechase is another awesome multiplayer variant of Magic the Gathering. In Planechase, players will each have a deck with oversize Planes cards.
One Plane will show up on each turn with a common ability available on it and a Chaos ability. In this variant, players each have a planar die that must be rolled each turn to dictate how they respond to the existing plane.
This can be a real game changer for players when an element of control is removed. This set features cards from Planechase and the Planechase 2012 edition and comes with...
- 4x ready to play 60 card decks - each with 8x rare
- 86x oversized Planar cards
- 4x slide deck boxes
- Oversize slide deck box
- 35x double sided token cards
- Special edition Planar die
- 4x spin down life counters
...which all sounds very snazzy indeed. What a plush pack!
What do you think of this set for Magic players?
Will you be attempting some Planeswalking with this latest anthology set?

Amazing product! I have a pair of planechase decks of my own, and it really shackes the things up big time.
Probably will look more into it…
IMO Planechase is most fun when played with commander decks.
Well that’s sorted my partner’s Christmas present. She loves MTG, and I like dice, win-win 🙂
