Battle The Pit Lord In New Black Site Studios Cosmic Fantasy Microgame

Malev, the creator of Demon Ship, is working with Black Site Studios to produce another of his microgames! This time, he is entering the world of Cosmic Fantasy with Pit Lord! Prepare your rippling muscles and do battle with terrible villains!

As the name would suggest, Pit Lord will have you playing as mighty warriors who have dropped into a brutal and dangerous pit to do battle against all manner of foes. This is another solo experience, much like Demon Ship, and certainly works with the retro vibes that Malev likes to tinker around with.

The miniatures that you're seeing here have come from Stephen May (see more of his work here) and already looking the part. The Combatant looks like he has been ripped right from an 80s Fantasy epic and the same goes for the Pit Lord herself!

I think someone should call Sinbad to have a crack at taking her down. Some stunning miniature design and, if Demon Ship is anything to go by, a pretty fun solo game experience as well. With the release of the new Starter Box for pre-order, we've got a closer look at some of the miniatures including these foes that your Combatant will end up going up against.

As well as the Starter Box, you can also pick up some fun additional sets to help build on your collection. Here, we have the Pit Lord Arena which is a neat MDF kit which allows you to drop your Combatant into a proper arena which can be tweaked and tinkered with in a modular fashion.

There is also a special Combatant that you can pick up for Pit Lord. Rather than the muscle-bound Combatant, why don't you consider picking up Linzara, The Cyclops?

She is a brutal killer who has decided that rather than try and fight to free herself from the arena, she is going to make a career out of it! Rather than find herself challenging the Pit Lord at the end of her bouts, she decided to head back into the tunnels so that she can delight in the slaughter the next day.

It will be fun to see how this one plays!
