Pin Cushion Anglo-Saxons With V&V’s Norman Archers
September 2, 2019 by brennon
V&V Miniatures continue to bolster the forces of your Dark Age armies with the inclusion of some Norman Archers this time around.
The set brings to life eight resin Norman Archers, all unique, which can be used for building up your warband in games like SAGA. It's interesting to see Normans not using their trademark crossbows but this means that these fellows would be a great option for the clashes in 1066 and the years both preceding and proceeding it.
I am a big fan of archers and archery and I love the look of them whenever they are introduced into wargaming. I'm sure these fellows aren't going to be very good shots but a hail of arrows is always fun to drop on your foes.
With these being resin and slightly more expensive then most other options out there in plastic, I would be interested to hear how many of you have snapped up the V&V range to use in your own games.
Let me know below...

The level of detail and historical accuracy of V&V minis is amazing. Unfortunately, it is only equaled by their fragility. Weapons will snap with barest touch and ankles are especially prone to breaking. It would be great if V&V could move to a more bendy resin, like the newer Warlord stuff.
Those look really good.
Nice yeold artillerymen.
