Pict & Scot Hunters Fight Through Footsore’s Northern Wilderness
July 14, 2017 by brennon
Footsore Miniatures are growing their Arthurian collection with some new Pict & Scot Archers and Hunters which will be useful in expanding upon your force on the tabletop.
These fellows would be good for a lot of the Levy forces you might be pulling together if you're playing SAGA and Aetius & Arthur. I like the idea of proper skirmishing forces taking down heavily armoured foes as they pick their way through the wilderness of the North.
The sculpting of the Hunters however really caught my attention with their crossbows at the ready.
With these more powerful weapons, you'll be able to pick off targets with ease!
What do you think of their new models?

That’s not how I imagined ancient Scots 🙁
unfortunately that is how they looked, if you’re after some naked fellas covered in woad though footsore have a lovely set of Attecotti
yeah – that’s what Bede says 🙁
I always wondered if the Early Irish looked like the Old Testament characters depicted on the High Crosses…
Like how the ‘Romans’ are depicted as Vikings on the Muiredach’s High Cross…
Look at those moustaches – they are Viking Rockers!
Awesome! – Attecotti 🙂 they are going to be my faction, but as a Scots-Irish Roman army faction with blue and white shields 🙂
I ended up with about 8 points of each so I can mix and match or field them all together for massed battle games
Yeah they look good.
love them, ordered them as soon as they hit the site and already shipped, superb customer service and roll on Monday
and they’ve arrived, that’s service I like, time to get all the little buggers cleaned and primed
Pict Levy with Crossbows, what’s not to love 😀 .
having just finished putting them together I have to agree, they are delightful minis
